Prelude music is continued until all your guests have arrived, regardless of who gets lost or how long it takes to fix a zipper. Processionals gracefully terminate when the wedding party arrives at their destination, and the sound of your wedding march on a harp is unforgettable. The recessional and postlude music are played until everyone has left the hall.

You can choose from Alice's large repertoire of classical, popular and Celtic music and hire either her full-sized pedal harp or her Celtic harp for your ceremony. She can help you select appropriate music for Catholic, Christian or Jewish weddings, or hand-fasting and other ceremonies.

Wedding Packages

Whether you are having a large, formal indoor wedding or an informal outdoor ceremony, you can choose from Alice's wedding packages to match your budget and musical tastes. Alice will honor your requests or she can provide suggestions for music that will make your day truly special. Drawing on her experience in playing for a variety of ceremonies since 2001, Alice offers a free one-hour consultation to help you plan music for your wedding that will be both meaningful and memorable. If personal consulting together in Laramie is not convenient she also offers video consulting sessions using Skype on the Internet.

Wedding Planning Suggestions

Here are some suggestions to help with planning your wedding ceremony music.

When

Start planning the music for your wedding at least 6 months in advance. Many musicians may be already booked for the busy season (especially July and August in Wyoming). Allow yourself enough time to find the musicians you want. Many harpists book weddings more than a year in advance.

Consulting, Rehearsals and Performance Agreements

Alice Freeman offers a one-hour free consultation at her studio to go over musical selections and the order of service.

If personal consulting together in Laramie is not convenient she also offers video consulting sessions using Skype on the Internet. (Skype is a free software application that allows users to make free voice calls over the Internet to other people on Skype for as long as you like and to wherever you like. If you have questions about whether Skype will run on your computer, please read the specifications in this article.)

Rehearsals are required if Alice is asked to accompany singers or other musicians chosen by the bride. However, she charges an additional fee to attend rehearsals and this can easily double the prices charged for a wedding.
