Special Event Information

Large room set up for a formal banquet Are you looking for entertainment for a banquet or reception?

Do you want it to be truly memorable?

Invite harpist Alice Freeman to provide exceptional background ambiance which will encourage personal conversations at your cocktail hour or special celebration. Alice has been performing on the pedal harp and Celtic harp in Laramie and the surrounding area since 1999. Background music for a two-hour reception in Laramie is $250. Please add $100 for each additional hour and call 307.745.3950 for prices at other locations.

Family Milestone Events

Smiling grandparents enjoy looking at flowers and cake Your special birthday or anniversary parties can be made even more memorable by hiring Alice Freeman to provide background music. As a multi-instrumental musician she has played a violin restored specifically for a 90-year-old surprise birthday celebration as well as playing "Happy Birthday" on both of her harps and her hammered dulcimer.

Alice enjoys blending into the background to enhance the atmosphere of places like the Laramie Union Pacific Depot or the Historic Elk Mountain Hotel for special events.

The holidays are a special time to have harp music entertain your guests at an Open House.	Gallery Openings can be very elegant when hors d'œuvres are combined with booking a harpist.

Frequently Asked Questions about Hiring a Harpist

What type of music can be played on the harp?

Almost any type of music can be played on the harp, but not every song or piece of each type is possible. For example, music like "True Love" by Cole Porter is easily playable on a piano, but difficult on a harp because of the number of accidentals (places where a harpist must change the pitch of the strings from natural to sharp or flat). Even with the harpist's feet making the changes on the pedals, only so many changes are physically possible within a specific span of time.

The following Information Provisions will be detailed during the negotiation and agreement process in consultation with Alice. They will be itemized in a Performance Agreement from Alice. The Purchasing Party (you) is referred to as "Client" and Alice Freeman is referred to as "Artist" in the Provisions below. An invoice will be provided if requested.
