Teaching
Do you like music? Have you ever thought about playing a harp? Have you heard hammered dulcimers in folk music or contra dance bands? You can learn these instruments even if you do not read music and have no previous experience. Alice Freeman teaches both learning styles - by ear or from written music. She especially enjoys adult students who are looking for a new hobby. Call Alice at 307.745.3950 to schedule a free orientation session and discuss your goals. This is a video of one of Alice's hammered dulcimer students playing duets with her older sister. Kendra had been playing about four months when this video was made and Kaira had been studying harp with another teacher for ten months. She has played her hammered dulcimer in multiple concerts and recitals in Wyoming and Colorado, and as the "santur" player in the Fort Collins OpenStage Theatre production of Arabian Nights. |
