The Monday Night Folk Music Session meets most Mondays from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Fine Arts Building on the University of Wyoming Campus. Call Rod Garnett at (307) 766-2512 or Alice Freeman at (307) 399-3055 to find out if we are meeting this week and in which room.

This is a learning session where the concentration is on slowly learning music by ear, with no expectations for performance.

Please use this form to contact Alice Freeman with suggestions, corrections or requests.

This is a Master List of all the tunes we hope to have eventually up on this site. There are no links from this page to PDF or sound files.

Suggested Sets  provides lists and links to sets we frequently play together.

Dance Definitions provides definitions and time signatures for Celtic and Bulgarian dance forms.

These Web pages are lists of music we play with links to sound files and sheet music. Frequently there are many versions of tunes,
and tunes have many different names. These are the names
and versions we play in rural southern Wyoming.

Since 06/12/2009 I have added the Irish jigs
Coleraine
and Haste to the Wedding.
Coleraine
is not played at some English and Irish sessions because some people associate it with Northern Ireland.
Haste to the Wedding
is popular at contra dances and is a staple in the old New England fiddle repertoire.
Smash the Windows
makes a good set with these two jigs.
