Do you want to play a harp? Have you ever seen one "close up?" Alice Freeman offers beginning and intermediate instruction on the lever harp. Starting with a free orientation session to identify your goals, Alice will help you locate a harp to rent if needed. She strongly recommends people rent an instrument instead of buying one at first, because your tastes may change in the first few months. Harp rentals range from $30 to $45 per month, depending on the size of the harp. Lessons can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly or monthly to meet your needs. Rates are $35 per hour or $20 for a half-hour lesson. She realizes that adults frequently do not have the time to commit to a lesson every week, even if they are retired. Alice is willing to work with children only if they have completed at least three years of piano lessons and read music well.
