Agaricus Cupreobrunneus is called the "Kopperbrun" mushroom in other parts of the world, which translates to Copper Brown Mushroom. It has orangish red tones in the brown cap.
It is one of the smaller Agaricus mushrooms, which grows well under trees in landscaping, in woods with little undergrowth, and in containers which have mulch with some conifer litter. The small size means it will fruit in containers as small as 8", though you want to be sure to sow it into many pots to get enough at one time to be able to use for a meal.
This mushroom dries well, and is used like the common White Button or Crimini mushroom. It is best in button stage, and forms a smaller button than commercial mushrooms do.
It fruits in early and late winter, giving you a crop when little else is growing. It will also grow well in with winter garden crops.
We have spores for our Temple Garden Strain (a slightly smaller strain which works well in container gardens) in our mushroom store.
